Brandon Vargas is a mixed-media artist whose work explores the dilemma between personal authenticity and the desire for belonging through vibrant installations, paintings, and murals. Often drawing on cultural myths, queer perseverance, and familial identity, he seeks to create work that is striking, colorful, and humorous. By deliberately incorporating different perspectives in his art, Brandon aims to create visual asymmetry that questions the assumptions and values underpinning communal narratives.

Brandon graduated from CU Denver in 2018 with a BFA in Fine Art and has since championed the arts, working as an artist, arts administrator, and curator in the Denver Area. Brandon passionately advocates for the arts community and currently serves on the board of Denver Digerati, as well as a committee member for the Art Student League of Denver and the Birdseed Collective.  In addition to volunteering in the community, Brandon works as the Artist Liaison for Meow Wolf for Colorado, curates exhibitions at Convergence Station, as well as for other upcoming projects for Meow Wolf and other partners.
